Owen O'Grady
Managing Director
Owen began his career in civil engineering at the age of 16, learning the trade from the ground up. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to continuous development, he progressed through a series of increasingly responsible roles, gaining extensive hands-on and leadership experience. His career culminated in becoming Street Lighting Manager at a major utilities company, where he led multidisciplinary teams responsible for the operation, maintenance, and installation of street lighting infrastructure, delivering complex projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, performance, and customer service. Owen brings with him boundless enthusiasm and energy, with a focus on maintaining the reputation of the O'Grady family name for their outstanding work across a full range of civil engineering projects.

Office Manager
Nicole is our Office Manager and has worked in the Civil Engineering commercial side of the industry since leaving school. With years of experience and a friendly, approachable manner, she helps keep everything running smoothly day to day. She has worked with the O'Grady family for a number of years, firstly with JJ O Grady’ Ltd and onwards with MJ Civils since its inception in 2023. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys a good coffee and spending time with her two children.
Steve Jackson
Financial Director
Steve joined us in 2025 after a long career as an Independent Financial Adviser. He brings a wealth of experience having dealt with a variety of local businesses over the years. He is an active volunteer with the Canal & River Trust working on the Lancaster & Leeds & Liverpool Canals. He still "enjoys" his weekly badminton sessions!
